Landscaping Makes A Difference
The real estate market is tough right now for sellers. There are a lot of choices with all the homes on the market. It’s important that you set your home apart from all the others in order make it appealing enough to leave an impression that sticks with potential buyers through their search.
Landscaping can make a big difference when selling your home. The outside of your home and the landscaping are the first things that a buyer sees. If you stand in your yard and look closely at your home, putting your in the buyers shoes, what do you see? Have a neighbor look, an objective opinion will help you see things differently. Does your home have ‘curb appeal’? That means that your home is appealing from the outside, that buyers want to go in and see more based on the good impression made by the outside of your home.
First, check the lawn. Is the grass green? Are they bare spots? It may be worth the investment to hire a lawn care service. A good landscaper will be able to make the grass lush and green. They can also put out mulch, plant annuals and prune unruly shrubbery. In addition to the lawn, check out your mailbox, driveway and walkways. You may consider sealing the driveway-one thing that you may be able to do yourself, or having walkways repaved or bricked.
It may take a lot to get your home in top shape for potential buyers. A great place to begin is the landscaping. It’s the little things that can make a difference and in this real estate market. Buyers want to be able to see them selves living there. Don’t make it difficult for them and you with dead grass, broken pavers or a rusty mailbox. |
